RULES
GRAINS & HAY, GARDEN VEGETABLE & FRUIT Sponsored jointly by Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food and the Lincoln Agricultural Society COMMITTEE: Chair - Jim McMillan (905-563-7749) Sandy Crawford, Bruce Julien, Bruce Robinson, Dave & Pat Sauer RULES and REGULATIONS 1. All exhibitors must be members of the Lincoln Agricultural Society. Membership fee is $6.00 per person. 2. Entry forms may be sent by mail or otherwise to be received by the Fair Secretary, at P.O. Box 981, Beamsville, no later than Friday, August 29, 2008. A late entry fee of 25 cents shall be applied to all entries received after August 29, 2008. Entry tags may be picked up at the Fair Office during scheduled office hours. Include a handling fee of $1.50 to have the entry tags mailed. 3. All exhibitors winning a total of $12.00 or more in prize money will have the following year=s membership fee deducted from this year=s winnings. 4. An entry fee of 10% will be deducted from prize money won unless otherwise stated. 5. Exhibits to be placed in designated areas from 2 to 9 pm. on Wednesday, September 3, 2008. Judging will commence at 9 am on Thursday, September 6 in all sections. The designated areas will be closed to everyone at 6 pm on Sunday, September 9, so the Directors and Committee members can prepare for the exhibits to be removed. Delete this sentence THE EXHIBITS CAN ONLY BE REMOVED ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 7 BETWEEN 6 AND 9:00 PM. ANY EXHIBITS NOT PICKED UP BY 9.00 PM WILL BE DISCARDED BY THE COMMITTEE. 6. Display containers will be provided by the Lincoln Agricultural Society for small grains, soybeans, grass seed, silage, potato pyramids and vegetable collection displays. 7. All exhibitors must pick up an EXHIBITOR'S CLAIM TICKET at the Secretary's Office. This ticket is to be shown at the entrance on Sunday evening from 6 to 9.00 pm. and at each committee location to claim exhibits. Only one ticket per exhibitor or organization. Only EXHIBITORS are allowed in the designated areas to claim exhibits! 8. Judges shall have discretionary power to withhold the first or any prize where they deem an article unworthy. 9. If any exhibit is taken from the grounds before specified times, the exhibitor of same may not be entitled to any prize which may have been awarded. 10. Any exhibitor lodging a protest regarding an exhibit must make it in writing, signed by the person lodging the protest, to the Fair Secretary, accompanied by a $50 deposit, as soon as the problem is apparent. Prize money may be forfeited and if the protest is not sustained, the deposit will be forfeited to the Society. 11. Exhibits to be products of the current year (unless otherwise stated).
