HEAVY HORSE SHOW

RULES

1.    Each exhibitor must be a member of the Society.  Unless membership fee has been retained from the previous year, membership fee of $6.00 must be paid before exhibiting allowed.

2.    Each exhibitor winning the sum of $12.00 or over in prize money will have the $6.00 membership fee for next year deducted from their prize money.

3.  An entry fee of 20% will be deducted from prize money won unless otherwise stated.

4.  All entries are to be made at the show office 2 hour prior to the start of the show.  If entries are made prior to the Fair start, they can be mailed to Secretary, Box 981, Beamsville, Ontario L0R 1B0.

5.  All Harness classes must be hitched to suitable vehicles.

6.  Youths must be 18 and under as of January 1, 2007 and are required to wear CSA approved helmets where appropriate.

7.  Complaints will be handled as a protest and will follow the same rules for any other protest as set out by the Lincoln County Fair (see page 8 for a complete list of rules as they pertain to protest).

8.  Exhibitors of horses must submit written proof of liability insurance showing policy number and expiry date in the amount of at least $1,000,000, showing coverage of horse/horses at fairs or exhibitionsThis proof must be provided at the time of making entries.  (4-H exhibitors are exempt)

9.  The driver of the vehicle pulling a horse trailer will be admitted free, as well as one occupant of the said vehicle per horse (to a maximum of 6 free admissions).  Vehicles transporting horses are to enter and exit through Gibson Street, off Ontario Street.  Signage will be posted for this entrance.  Please refer to the map located in the back of this book.

2. Each exhibitor winning the sum of $12.00 or over in prize money will have $6.00 membership fee for the next year deducted from their prize money.

3. For this year only there will be no entry fees.

4. All entries are to be made at the show office 1/2 hour prior to the start of the show.  If entries are being made prior to the fair start they can be mailed to:  Lincoln County Fair, PO Box 981, Beamsville, ON  L0R 1B0.

5. All Harness classes must be hitched to suitable Vehicles

7. Exhibitors of horses must submit some form of written proof from their insurance company showing policy number, expiry date, that you carry liability insurance in the amount of at least $1,000,000.00 and also you are covered for showing your horse/horses at fairs or exhibitions.

This proof must be provided at the time of making your entries.

(4H exhibitors exempt) 4H exhibitors are covered already by their 4-H Association.
