A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE FAIR
1857 First regular fair in Beamsville
livestock tethered at the end of East Ave.

1871 First five acres of present fairgrounds purchased by the Clinton Agricultural Society.
gate receipts totaled $100.00, "although it rained all day".
1913 Eight more acres purchased at the present fairgrounds site.
Since 1945
half mile track installed on the fairgrounds
lighted baseball diamond added
land sold to the Town for $1.00 to provide for the Centennial Arena
1952 Name granted - THE LINCOLN AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY came into being.
