Lincoln Agricultural Society Announces Election of New Officers |
Beamsville, ON January 18, 2012 - The Board of Directors of the Lincoln Agricultural Society is pleased to present our new Executive for 2012 confirmed at our Annual General Meeting and Board meeting on January 17, 2012. The executive team is lead by Stephen Capell as President, Sherry Cockwell as 1st Vice President, Irene Farbotko as 2nd Vice President, Jim McMillan as Member at Large, and Joe Kelter as Past President. |
As he moves on from his role as President, the Board and members of the Society would like to thank our friend Mr. Joe Kelter for his many years of dedicated service and leadership where time and time again he has gone above and beyond the call of duty to keep our Society moving towards the goals set out by our Directors. Joe has always handled the Society's affairs in a most honourable, and upstanding way, making sure we always stayed on track to pursue our goals and fulfill our mandate as set out by the membership and Board. |
Our new Executive will continue on the path set out before us, and look forward to amalgamation with the Smithville Agricultural Society and the construction of the new Fairgrounds Facility on Mud Street in the Township of West Lincoln. This truly is an exciting time for both Societies as we work to move forward together to secure a vibrant future for the Fair, with a new venue to support agricultural and community groups and the whole communities of Lincoln, West Lincoln and Grimsby, for generations to come. |
The dedicated groups of volunteers that make up each Board also look forward to hosting in 2012 their last separate fairs at their respective fair grounds. |
The Lincoln Agricultural Society will be hosting in September this year the 155th Lincoln County Fair at the fairgrounds in downtown Beasmville. The volunteers are already planning many new changes to help mark the 155th edition of Niagara's Finest Agricultural Showcase. |
Please watch our website www.lincolncountyfair.ca for updates and further announcements and we will see all of you on September 7th- 9th 2012 in Beamsville for the Lincoln County Fair |
